Yes, it is true that most suburban neighbourhoods have architectural guidelines which may govern the minimum or maximum sizes, roof lines, exterior finishes, or colours, for example. However, at Design Hall, we review all documentation and ensure our suburban home designs are not only beautiful, but adhere to all applicable guidelines as well. And of course, we always take into account each unique lot, being mindful of setbacks or views that should be either captured or minimized.

From Concept to Reality

With our expertise, we can create a custom new build plan that’s flexible and functional, suitable for keeping up with your needs as they change. We’re committed to designing a new home plan that will grow with you when you need it to.
But we don’t just deliver a blueprint and call it a day. We’re focused on having open communication and collaborating with you, right from the initial consultation (as you’ll see below). Ensuring your vision and goals are met are at the top of our list of priorities, and we want to be a trusted partner in your design journey. Design Hall will never finish the project and simply wave ‘goodbye’.
3D Modeling + Renderings
It can be tough to picture the exterior of your new home when it is only presented to you in traditional 2D. Instead, we take your custom suburban new home design and show you “virtually” all the angles in 3D! This lets you ‘try on’ your home before making final decisions.
Our standard suburban home design packages include basic 3D modeling as part of the preliminary design stage. For those who want a little extra visual impact, photorealistic 3D Renderings are an optional add-on.
Education + Collaboration
At Design Hall we’re committed to collaborating with you and incorporating your ideas and vision into your home plan. It is your house, after all! We will never present you with a stock or cookie-cutter plan. We will, however, make sure to use our expertise throughout the project to provide guidance and suggestions to make your home both elegant and functional.

A True Relationship
Suburban New Builds can be a lot to take on, but from the first phone call you make to Design Hall to the moment you step into your new home, we’ll do our best to turn your dreams into a reality with the least amount of stress possible. We offer flexible consultations and meetings, because we understand it’s a challenge to balance work, family, and planning for a major construction project. Throughout the design process, we can offer select evening and weekend appointments. We want you to feel at-ease about your new build and confident in the design plan.
Post-Design, we’re happy to make plan-related revisions to engineering or permitting requirements. We also understand the importance of a strong team and can make recommendations for other professionals you may need to engage with for your new home build. And of course if you or your contractor has any questions after the design is complete, we’re happy to provide clarification.
